What searches are you doing? The only database that matters is the DVLA one, but their web site may struggle with a car that's been off the road too long. That said, 25 years shouldn't be a problem because it's post-computerisation, even if pre-SORN.

Ah, well. Do you seriously think the jokers at Halfrauds can be arsed to populate their database with information regarding cars that are at least thirty years too hold for them to hold any relevant stock? Forget trying to get any of the "motor factors" to provide useful information. They can't even reliably do that for modern cars. If you want to know what price you can get on oils you should really first be asking what oils you should be using. There's a fair chance those high street outlets won't even stock the right oil in anything like adequate quality, but at least once you know that the engine requires 20W50 with a moderately high zinc content you are in a position to see whether the motor factor's web site lets you ask the right question. Many don't. Personally, I buy all my oils from classic specialists like Fuzz Townshend at Bicester

+1 for Heritage 20w50 from Classic Oils, Bicester. Excellent pressure retention when hot, reassuring Zinc level and keen pricing compared to some offerings. Tim |
