No misunderstanding, I was just attempting humour :) I'm not very good at it! Had an AX for 14 years, excellent car. The MX5 is also a good choice for many things! I suspect by the way that the entry button may have vanished because the entry closing date has passed so direct communication with the organiser (Nigel Abdullah) is the way to go if anyone still wants to come out and play. Just teasing Clive. Jon did his best to convert the rear tyres on the BMW into smoke last time, now he obviously wants to have a go at putting a nice flat edge on the AX's! Oh and reducing the diameter of the fronts as well obviously 72 Stag RV8 RBRR 2018 - team 100 dnf - finished in Dave Maton's HCR 2015,2016,2017 C2C 2018,19 |

Does anyone know where to find the indemnity form we're supposed to be printing off to take with us as per the final instructions? I've not seen it on the Autosolo page or anywhere else I've looked. Mik |

I haven't seen one either Mik. Maybe Nigel will let us fill something out in the morning during scrutineering. 72 Stag RV8 RBRR 2018 - team 100 dnf - finished in Dave Maton's HCR 2015,2016,2017 C2C 2018,19 |

That's exactly it. Had an email from Nigel today to say the indemnity form will be available at signing on. I think the email went to all entrants but if anyone is missing it, that's the message. Mik |

I'll second that. Had a brilliant day seeing how high I could get a 2000 to rev! Henry had fun in the passenger seat too. Many thanks to Nigel, Mike and everyone else for a great autosolo. 72 Stag RV8 RBRR 2018 - team 100 dnf - finished in Dave Maton's HCR 2015,2016,2017 C2C 2018,19 |

It was a fantastic day. The courses were lovely and flowing meaning all the cars could manoeuvre them (Cheers Nigel!). The surface was smooth so tyres didn't get too chewed up, and plenty of opportunity to be a bit of a hooligan! Please, can we go to Curborough again? And soon.... (Really, if anybody is unsure about what it is like, just have a go. Everybody has a huge grin on their faces after they have driven) Clive Senior |

That was the first Autosolo that I have done, where I have not driven and I thoroughly enjoyed myself, timing the cars. It was great fun, everybody's driving got better and better as the day went on. Most of the cars looked superb, one or two being very competitive: Matt Helm's Spitfire and Clive Senior's superb Spitfire. I will be entering next time with the rejuvenated GT6. I must echo Clive's comments, Curborough is an excellent venue for such an event. Hope we see a few of the old hands out next time: Paul Hughes, The Foremans, Mike Bishop, Colin Wake, The Charltons, Joe Welling, Dave Pearson etc etc Many congrats to Matt Helm for winning again, what a driver. Club Triumph Round Britain Reliability Run: Part of the organising team, and honoured to be associated 1970 TR6 Maroon. Bought May 2018. Since pruchase: Full suspension re-build, new clutch and propshaft plus re-built driveshafts. Goes well. Blimey, lots more done now, gearbox replaced (Canley Classics unit), 7J black minilites c/w Uniroyal tyres (Crikey, un-stickable), Revington's Targa springs. Now needs some engine work and some brakes. Otherwise, well on its way to becoming a Club Triumph type car, i.e. one that is actually used! Previously owned: Triumph Dolomite Sprint (Now owned by Paul Hughes) Herald 1200 Coupe on mk2 chassis (Now owned by Jess Cook and being properly used) Vitesse mk2 Conv: Sold in 1983, still on the road! Various Citroens and Pugs DD: Focus ST Diesel...torquey! |

Sorry I couldn't make it in the end for the Autosolo, I was looking forward to it, and so was AJ. If the organisers didn't mention non-attendees, I found out that my AX had a very bad fuel leak on my way home from work on Friday when I filled it up with £45 of finest Shell Optimax... only to find that most of that then spread itself over a 10 mile stretch of tarmac.

Shame you couldn't make it Jon, it was a cracking day. Found out that my car goes sideways quite well! 740? Is that still rear wheel drive? Our V70 is front wheel drive and has a turning circle only slightly larger than a supertanker! Though plenty quick enough (185 bhp) don't think it would have made the tight turns. Handbrake is pretty rubbish too so that wouldn't have helped much. 72 Stag RV8 RBRR 2018 - team 100 dnf - finished in Dave Maton's HCR 2015,2016,2017 C2C 2018,19 |
