Entry forms and regs here: http://club.triumph.org.uk/cgi-bin/comps/mxcontent.cgi?pid=92 Club Triumph Round Britain Reliability Run: Part of the organising team, and honoured to be associated RBRR is the best car event in the UK, not probably, it is! 1970 GT6 Mk.2: Royal Blue 6 RBRRs (98, 00,02,04,06 & 10, one failure 14), 2 10CRs (03 & 07). 2 HCRs 1 LCC, lots of Autosolos and numerous track days. Bought in 1983, crikey where did the time go! Lots of modifications, now fitted with a revvy 2000cc engine and she is going very well. GT6 are fantastic little cars that are very under-rated, mainly by people who have not driven one, its slow in and fast out! 1969 2.5Pi Mk.1: Slate Grey 4 10CRs (05, 09, 15 & 17), 4 RBRRs (08, 12, 16 and 187), 3 HCRs, 2 LCCs. A few alloy panels, does need the pi kit fitting. Bought April '04. Needs paint! Just fitted some new 7J Minilites-not copies! The car goes like a train on SUs, so why change! The car just sits and waits and waits and when needed is brilliant fun to drive. Triumph's best design? Impending engine and body work this (2019) Autumn and Winter. 1967 Spitfire mk2: Wedgewood Blue. Bought November 2010. Almost seems civilised. Car has done a RBRR (Dave Picton 2010). Back on the road since March 2017. Raw little car, but fun. Has lots of modifications, nothing too outlandish! 1970 TR6 Maroon. Bought May 2018. Since pruchase: Full suspension re-build, new clutch and propshaft plus re-built driveshafts. Goes well. Blimey, lots more done now, gearbox replaced (Canley Classics unit), 7J black minilites c/w Uniroyal tyres (Crikey, un-stickable), Revington's Targa springs. Now needs some engine work and some brakes. Otherwise, well on its way to becoming a Club Triumph type car, i.e. one that is actually used! Previously owned: Triumph Dolomite Sprint (Now owned by Paul Hughes) Herald 1200 Coupe on mk2 chassis (Now owned by Jess Cook and being properly used) Vitesse mk2 Conv: Sold in 1983, still on the road! Various Citroens and Pugs DD: Focus ST Diesel...torquey!

I will have been to a Rover event a couple of weeks before It looks like the head gasket has gone on my 2000 plus the wheel arch repair panel I have on order for it hasn't arrived so there's very little chance of the car being roadworthy anytime soon. There's no diff in the 2000 as it is away for reconditioning The TR7 convertible needs taxing and putting on the road I will be attending the North Yorkshire Triumph Weekend 3rd weekend in May. First weekend in June I have entered the Ecosse Challenge. Not much to do directly after HCR. If the Vitesse isn't done, I'll enter the 2000. If that isn't well after HCr (should be, but just in case) I'll come in the 540i. The Texas Beef Chilli (may not be on the menu any more, but was a while ago) was fantastic. To an extent, it worked. If we don't get a few more pretty soon then we may have to cancel it which would be a great shame considering the trouble we've had finding a suitable venue and sweet talking people to get it organised. If you have an interest in this form of motor sport please support it. Maude: '66 2000 (for now) in amazingly good nick with Webasto sunroof, manual now with o/d. Much electrickery, Alfa seatery, power steerery, front suspendery (ooer!) & a few other clever bits also now done. Derek: '63 (ex Derek Pollock) TR4 with Surrey top in "Triumph Racing Green" according to the original bill of sale. Probably the best, most original TR4 in the country if not the World - and that's not an idle boast. Polish them if you must, but don't stick them on the mantelpiece - drive them (carefully, cos the number of wheels in contact with the black stuff [or the other end of the driveshaft] is liable to change when you least expect it!

From para. 13 "Transmission must be of original manufacture, internal parts may be changed, e.g ratios and differential type: All types of LSD are eligible." Does this exclude cars with Toyota gearboxes, Ford gearboxes, Subaru diffs, hybrid driveshafts etc? Seems like it does, though it would appear to be a slightly irrational thing to do when things like LSDs and engiine mods are permitted without any attempt to separate cars into standard and modified. One suspects that an LSD might be a larger advantage than a non-standard gearbox...... Assuming that such cars (particularly those with Toyota gearboxes) are not excluded, can cars be double driven?
