Hi all, would like some advice for my 1977 TR7 FHC with 5 speed box. |

If its biting at the top of the pedal maybe the clutch is worn. That's the natural progression of the the pedal when the pressure plate moves outwards. |

Hope this is not too daft a thought but is the clivis pin the correct type and fitted properly as if not the return spring will pull the pedal back to a high position. Wessex (Bristol & Bath) Area Organiser. My cars: Stag RV8 - sitting in Garden waiting for me to restore; Dolly 1850HL - in workshop, repairing doors. TR7 V8 (FHT) did a '10CR', now SORNED; TR7 V8 (Blue), SORNED; 2000 auto saloon (2500 engine, & O.D. manual) daily driver and 2 x RBRR veteran. Plus an MX5, think I might need Psychiatric help. |

This same problem occurred after I changed the clutch master cylinder. I found that the rod in the aftermarket master was longer than the original Gerling. So I swapped the old rod into the new master and my clutch pedal height was back to normal. nick |
