As most of you know my Dolomite has a TR7 2L engine. My mate that looks after the car currently can't find the Trans Oil Fill Plug. Can someone please tell me where it is? A picture would help as you know I live here in the states and the car is in Bishops Stortford, England. Thanks All. I have a TR7 engine a gearbox in my garage so will post a picture soon. Just went to take a photo and my camera ran out of electric - used my phone that managed to take a picture and then ran out of electric too - so now have both on charge. PLEASE help us to maintain a friendly forum, use Report post button if you see anything you are unhappy with. Thanks. |

My car has a 4 speed with overdrive, since I don't know if a Dolly trans will mate up with a TR7 engine or the orignal Dolly trans is used. The engine and trans tilt a little so they will fit. Engine block for Dolly 1850/Sprint/TR7 are identical on the outside, so no problem for 'box swaps. ![]() 1976 TR7 FHC (currently undergoing some TLC ...) 1980 TR7 DHC (a.k.a. Kermette, my first car bought in 1988 ) 1981 TR7 FHC (Sprint engined, a.k.a. 't Kreng) http://tr7beans.blogspot.com/ |

this reminds me that when I got the car I wanted to change the gearbox oil, but - as far as I remember - I never found the drain plug, and in the manual not either, it's always just about 'Check / top up level of gearbox oil.' ... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zc3N6mEpQFg http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y-cLe7WKptE&NR=1 MG MGC GT, 1969, pale primrose yellow, LHD http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lvIEnAdI-6Q BMW 635 CSi, 1980, polaris silver, manual Porsche 928 S2, 1984, ruby red metallic, manual http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0IC8d_SOHSE Triumph Tiger T110, 1960, bathtub, black/white http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O4q07Oj2DVI Suzuki Katana GSX1100S, 1984 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pjMihxlW90I BSA Rocket 3, 1969, flamboyant red http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=--WLh2AJNrM Switzerland |
