The only difference is that they have an extra hole drilled in. ![]() 1976 TR7 FHC (currently undergoing some TLC ...) 1980 TR7 DHC (a.k.a. Kermette, my first car bought in 1988 ) 1981 TR7 FHC (Sprint engined, a.k.a. 't Kreng) http://tr7beans.blogspot.com/ |

If you look carefully, the printed lettering is different. The fans speeds are opposite to non-A/C consoles with 'Max' at top position followed by 3, 2, 1 (so that max a/c is achieved whilst the fresh duct is almost closed - the modern equivalent would be 're-circulation') . Also the third hole has the words 'air cond' printed over it. I do have one but it's spilt and the lettering has worn off. There are probably hundreds knocking about in breakers yards in the US but I may just try and have it repaired. I'm being a purist but when it comes down to it, I'll probably just end up drilling a third hole!! ;D |
