Don't know the (non vented) SD1 callipers, but it is a safe bet that you'll have to change the discs. ![]() 1976 TR7 FHC (currently undergoing some TLC ...) 1980 TR7 DHC (a.k.a. Kermette, my first car bought in 1988 ) 1981 TR7 FHC (Sprint engined, a.k.a. 't Kreng) http://tr7beans.blogspot.com/ |

Fitted the Rimmer SD1 Vitesse Disc/caliper conversion a few years ago and from what I can remember the calipers were drilled to suit the TR7 strut (a call to Rimmers might be worth a go). I'd definately recommend TR8 discs as a minimum. The SD1 conversion replaced Princess calipers and Capri discs and I can remember noting the original holes in the calipers were blanked and new holes were drilled to suit. Wessex (Bristol & Bath) Area Organiser. My cars: Stag RV8 - sitting in Garden waiting for me to restore; Dolly 1850HL - in workshop, repairing doors. TR7 V8 (FHT) did a '10CR', now SORNED; TR7 V8 (Blue), SORNED; 2000 auto saloon (2500 engine, & O.D. manual) daily driver and 2 x RBRR veteran. Plus an MX5, think I might need Psychiatric help. |
