Quoted from DNK Looks like it ![]() ![]() Make sure you drive out the pin correctly, placing your drift on the side with th esmall recees/hole in it. The smooth end is the one with the splines, which are clearly visible in the top picture. And make sure you put the pin back correctly afterwards. Here's a picture of the door handle parts before they were coated. ![]() B.t.w. alloy can be very tricky to powder coat as it is porous. Trapped air can come out when it is heated. ![]() 1976 TR7 FHC (currently undergoing some TLC ...) 1980 TR7 DHC (a.k.a. Kermette, my first car bought in 1988 ) 1981 TR7 FHC (Sprint engined, a.k.a. Quoted from Howard There are more pictures and info in my weblog. I won't put all the pictures on the internet as it would take up to much of my rather precious spare time. What did the original amber inserts in the tail lights look like? Is the problem that they are in poor condition? If so, can't you just use a piece of amber gel from a theatrical supply store?

Amber inserts are in mint condition, but maybe the rear looks better without them. ![]() 1976 TR7 FHC (currently undergoing some TLC ...) 1980 TR7 DHC (a.k.a. Kermette, my first car bought in 1988 ) 1981 TR7 FHC (Sprint engined, a.k.a. 't Kreng) http://tr7beans.blogspot.com/ |
