beans wrote: Can't help you there as I tend to swap between slant-4 engines ::) And probably shipping from here would be more expensive than the cost for a complete engine from Flea-Bay Ah that's a shame, where abouts are you? 962 wrote: Yes I had one for the last 4 years, advertised it loads of times, no one wanted it, I couldn't give it away, so weighed it in 5 weeks ago :B Drat, I'd have picked it up for more than that :S my plan is to fit one to a Spitfire to make the Spit Triumph might have created had they continued development. Ideally I'd get an 1850, but they're rarer than the 2.0l and there aren't kits for rebuilds... 962 wrote: And another TR7 engine this time 2 for £80 261797045500 I spotted that one. I'm waiting til the auction runs out to see if I can get them both for cheaper :) cliftyhanger wrote: I know of an 1850 for sale in Eastbourne. No idea how much. Now that I'm interested in. I'm close enough to Eastbourne to go pick it up. Who do I need to get in touch with? 962 wrote: It's called Murphys Law ;D Why don't you put a Sprint motor in it, I think you will find a few more about than the 1850? Beans is in Holland :) Ah, that is a bit of a trek :S I plan to do a Sprint engined Spitfire at some point (or rather a Sprint engined GT6). It's a bit close in performance to the Spit6 that I'm building at the moment, and I was looking to see how cheap I could make a swapped Spitfire :) plus, for some reason I've got the idea stuck in my head to make a slant 4 Spitfire just to see what it would be like.
