Quoted from stevieb Did you really use perspex? Polycarbonate is more usual these days. But if you ever intend to enter competion, consult the MSA Year book ("Blue" Book) as you do the great work you are doing on it. Any plastic window must be at least 4mm thick, and some disciplnes insist on polycarb while others glass. See the Book at http://www.msauk.org/uploadedfiles/msa_forms/bluebooks/14/2014_MSA_Yearbook.pdf JOhn Serial Vitesse racer. Old Blue. 1995-2001 Silverback. 2001-2007 SofS. 2007 - to date. |

Quoted from Beans Hi Beans, from memory I believe they were sourced on eBay, they were new and unused, however I know that you can buy both forest and tarmac arches from Hamilton Motorsport http://www.hamilton-motorsport.co.uk/acatalog/TR7_Fiberglass_Panels.html Also Rimmers show some on their web site http://www.rimmerbros.co.uk/Item--i-GRID006165 |

The rimmer arches fit much better than the Hamilton ones which I think are sourced from Smith and Deakin. |

Quoted from JohnD Sorry John, you are right, we used polycarbonate, its an old habit I have of calling all clear plastics perspex! At this stage we were father and son just having fun going to trackdays and it was a big learning curve for both of us, we had no previous knowledge of any motorsport rules etc so we were picking things up as we went along. |
