Hi all

As most in the local area will know, The Plough changed management last year, and together with this, McMullens (the brewery) have decided to refurb and extend the building. We were hinted this would be happening this year, but have just been advised this will start on 8th Feb, and will be closed until at least Easter. In view of this, we need an alternative venue for at least two months (Feb 15th and March 21st).

I'm looking for something big enough, with a decent amount of parking, reasonably close by and near the M25. We're aware of a few potentially suitable venues, so once we strike up a deal, we'll let you all know.

Would the Premier Inn on the other side of the A10,just below the M25 ,do a deal?
We stopped there and they seemed to have sufficient space outside and inside

how about the 'King & Tinker' (just past Whitewebs) or the "Pied Bull" a bit further down on the corner of Carterhatch Lane near Capel Manor - both a stone from the M25 and 5 mins from the Plough

We did a bit of recce last night and looks as though we've decided on the Two Brewers in Northaw. The pub has a big car park, nice bar area to accommodate us and serves good food until 9pm. It's located just over 2 miles from the M25 (J24), so not a great deal different from the Plough if approaching from the motorway.

I just need to firm up arrangements with the owners later today, and I will post more details.
