	posted Sun 14th Sep 2003 OK I am well up for setting up a group loosly based on living in Middlesex and meeting at the ACE CAFE every second Tuesday of the month,so what do I do next?

Spoke to Steve Waddingham who tells me that the Ace organises a Triumph night on the 2nd Wed. of each month. Obviously this would prob. be the best night to go there. Tim B Club Triumph Round Britain Reliability Run: Part of the organising team, and honoured to be associated RBRR is the best car event in the UK, not probably, it is! 1970 GT6 Mk.2: Royal Blue 6 RBRRs (98, 00,02,04,06 & 10, one failure 14), 2 10CRs (03 & 07). 2 HCRs 1 LCC, lots of Autosolos and numerous track days. Bought in 1983, crikey where did the time go! Lots of modifications, now fitted with a revvy 2000cc engine and she is going very well. GT6 are fantastic little cars that are very under-rated, mainly by people who have not driven one, its slow in and fast out! 1969 2.5Pi Mk.1: Slate Grey 4 10CRs (05, 09, 15 & 17), 4 RBRRs (08, 12, 16 and 187), 3 HCRs, 2 LCCs. A few alloy panels, does need the pi kit fitting. Bought April '04. Needs paint! Just fitted some new 7J Minilites-not copies! The car goes like a train on SUs, so why change! The car just sits and waits and waits and when needed is brilliant fun to drive. Triumph's best design? Impending engine and body work this (2019) Autumn and Winter. 1967 Spitfire mk2: Wedgewood Blue. Bought November 2010. Almost seems civilised. Car has done a RBRR (Dave Picton 2010). Back on the road since March 2017. Raw little car, but fun. Has lots of modifications, nothing too outlandish! 1970 TR6 Maroon. Bought May 2018. Since pruchase: Full suspension re-build, new clutch and propshaft plus re-built driveshafts. Goes well. Blimey, lots more done now, gearbox replaced (Canley Classics unit), 7J black minilites c/w Uniroyal tyres (Crikey, un-stickable), Revington's Targa springs. Now needs some engine work and some brakes. Otherwise, well on its way to becoming a Club Triumph type car, i.e. one that is actually used! Previously owned: Triumph Dolomite Sprint (Now owned by Paul Hughes) Herald 1200 Coupe on mk2 chassis (Now owned by Jess Cook and being properly used) Vitesse mk2 Conv: Sold in 1983, still on the road! Various Citroens and Pugs DD: Focus ST Diesel...torquey!

	posted Tue 16th Sep 2003 reply 5 of 24 Just spoke to another Club Member he is up for meeting at the ACE CAFE on the 8TH of OCT as he was so dissapointed with the turn out at the plough last night,least it will be somewhere different? dont have to meet there all the time just rotate a bit ? so expect to see every triumph owener in a 20 mile radius of the ACE cafe to be there next month!!!!

I will be bringing along ideas and info for the 50 years CT navigational rally,route to check out etc and I should have some info on Bruntingthorpe so bare that in mine and bring along your ideas etc Cheers see you there! Tim Brooklands,to hold a start there is £6.00 per car,for that you get to go on the banking,drive down "test hill" and over pre-constructed start lin! Sorry could,nt stay much later but my mate had to be at work by 5.30 next morn. so wanted to get going! Also good to see Don Cook in his GT6, he's not sure about joining CT though! How many of the cars there were CT and how many TSSC, must have been 15CT cars? Great start, looking forward to next one which I reckon must be 12/11/03. Will you be doing a small write up for the mag? Thought about Bruntingthorpe idea, looks like it could be a good idea, how about a Autotest in the morning followed by a sprint in the afternoon. One thought that does occur is would the meeting need to sanctioned by the RAC MSA and if so would competitors need competition licences? If so might rule it out. If just an Autotest how about running it there in conjunction with the clubs national day? Therefore appeal to both types of members. Drivers and Concours/show types. If not what about a road run to into Wales, say Aberystwyth or Anglesey with an overnight stop. Start:Sat Morn. at Gaydon finish: Sunday afternoon at Gaydon. Time: Say April or May. We need to do something to celebrate 50 years of CT. I'll talk to the commitee on monday night and get their feelings. If you read through all the mad stuff in the 50CT thread there is the makings of a top celabration Think anything along the lines of A drive starting at a few points across the country meeting at a central "socail" venue for a few beers nose bag gossip then the following morning off to a "show" type venue would keep all types of members happy Then team up with martin to sort a sprint/autotest day with local B+Bs opitinal for an evening of beers vids etc a real petrol head night! Rendevous,followed by group B rally cars in action..hey thats it lets have a film night! eveyone bring thier favorite petrol vids/films and a barrel of ale!
