I'm really sorry if any one did turn up at the white horse tonight the pub was shut. Only one other person turned, up that i saw. so we held the meeting in a cold, dark pub carpark. just before nine we gave up and went home. Quoted from witness We will be talking to the Hull and E Riding about feasible new locations re Yorkshire Philip( my son) is the new Local Area Coordinator ,so investigations are under way However CT members are generally amenable to travelling to other locations We are in Doncaster and we travel to Pendle and Pennine meets near Colne....and as the meetings are only once a month ,it is not really an out of the way problem , its not as though its every week If you have a problem then, for the moment ,contact either myself or Philip : phil.charlton@club.triumph.org.uk philip.charlton@club.triumph.org.uk local.groups@club.triumph.org.uk PUBLIC RELATIONS and ADVERTISING OFFICER

Yorkshire is a big county, maybe its best to hold the meeting in a more Central location rather than over towards the East. Somewhere around Leeds would be a good idea perhaps? |

In days gone by Dave Marshall used to organize one in the Leeds area, just off the M62 at Drighlington. Thing was most times only 3 people turned up, Dave, Barry McGrath and myself. OK, so what's the speed of dark? |

Quoted from Triumph Geordie The North,West and South Yorkshire areas all went to the wall through lack of attendance or interest We must try and get to the bottom of the reason why and remedy things Dan and Barry are trying their best to drum up trade, but I think one Yorkshire meet area should suffice We go to Pendle and Pennine meets near Barnoldswick as there are like minded members attend in respect of using cars and engineering minded It may be a 136 mile round trip.............but it is worth it for only one night a week.. Have you tried any other clubs offering in the area, maybe better to join in rather than set up a separate too small meet. The TSSC have meetings in Birkstall: http://www.tsscwestyorkshire.co.uk/ and Doncaster . The TR Register have several Yorkshire meetings PLEASE help us to maintain a friendly forum, use Report post button if you see anything you are unhappy with. Thanks. |

Quoted from vitessesteve Steve the above answers the question All Yorkshire areas are not attended or represented at all and the site info is out of date We are in the process of identifying Yorks members to try and address the problem Being the largest UK county does not necessarily mean a large county membership PUBLIC RELATIONS and ADVERTISING OFFICER

Hi, I'd be interested in attending a Yorkshire meeting. Although my postcode (S81) suggests I'm in Nottinghamshire, I'm most definetily in South Yorks (By 'eck!). Please keep me in the loop regarding prospective meetings. |

Wonder if there'd be enough people within striking distance of Wakefield/Wooley area... suppose it depends on numbers+interest. |

Quoted from yorkshire_spam OK...we have started doing a survey of `Yorkshire` This may not go down well with Dan in Hull area There are members in: North Yorks ,17......all within striking distance of York South Yorks, 32 .....all within 15 miles of each other West Yorks ,19.....all within Leeds Bradford, bar two East Yorks ........none I hope that helps anyone wanting to make decisions However you would have though that `Yorkshire ` would have more than 68 members PUBLIC RELATIONS and ADVERTISING OFFICER

Quoted from Velocita Rosso I guess given those numbers it would make most sense to try and get a meeting together somewhere around the M1/Sheffield area? Not quite as good for us as Wakey/Wooley area, but if it leads to a better attendance at meets that can't be a bad thing. |
