DRIVE IT DAY - 26th this month, look at  forum 'Events', there's a mention of a trip to Haynes Motor Museum. I'm thinking of going along. Anyone else?

So that was a no then. Sandra and I went along and although a bit fresh it was a dry day. Met up with quite a few other Triumphs, I think the TR Register and the Stag owners club were there as well as a some Club Triumph members from South Wales (sorry don't get to chat much). Very good concession on the entry price and a very pleasant roam around the museum.

Club night a week this Thursday.

Hi lawrence, bit late in seeing this but if it's still relevent, there is Padfields at Templemeads Bristol - bit pricey but they have been around for years, and Anderson Racing at Timsbury - I've used them in the past and have been very impressed with their work and the cleanliness of their facilities.

What engine are you doing?

Hello, is there anything happening (shows, meets, car boot sales etc) between 5th and 11th May 2016 in your area or know of a similar event in South Wales? I'll be in Chepstow during that time and would be great to meet other club members.

Hi Ham, as you can see viewing the forum is a bit sporadic. In answer to your question, there is nothing on locally that I am aware on those dates, sorry. If something does crop up I'll contact you.

I'm conscious that, despite the fact that I've lived in Bath and owned a GT6 (and used this forum) for nearly ten years, I have NEVER come along to a local meeting.

Please don't be offended by that. It is simply because I'm much older and grumpier than my years and so I 'don't play well with others'.

Despite that, I wonder if you fellow local Triumph lovers would be able to give me any recommendations for restoration places / paint shops that I can use?

My GT6 is beginning to look really very tired and needs a fair amount of bodywork doing. So sooner or later I'm going to have to bite the bullet and get it all done in one go. I'd love to have some recommendations to work from, rather than just shop around and try and guess who's good and who's not.
