Have been restoring my 13/60 convertible for quite a few years now and finally got to the top seam above the windscreen, chipped the filler away and found this !!  what to do??

Cut it out and weld in new, do a small bit at a time...

Might be a job for a pro though.

If you do it in sections it is not such a big job.  The hardest thing is making the first cut, then you have just got to get on with it.

It did the same on the sides of the windscreen (pics attached).  Probably not very professional but as long as you are doing it in small enough sections you can make the odd mistake.  Make sure you are sure you have cut back to good metal or you will end up burning through with the MIG.

If you have rot here you will probably have it on the sides behind the gutters and at the bottom of the A Post too.

Good luck.

I've already done the A post gutters and everything else, this is the last bit of the car to do  -  just didn't expect it to be so bad!
