Original spare parts manual lists 1/2 rings as 14807 and 3/4 rings as 11379. Only ones currently available from suppliers seem to be part number 14809. Is this correct ?. Surely different part numbers mean non interchangeable - least it did when I was in the trade . Who do you recommend to supply quality parts ?
Converting the box to fit overdrive - have read that breather needs to be blanked off on top cover , is this correct ?

I make it 148409 on all 3 syn 4 sync n 3 rail boxes  a   later 3 rail parts list also shows it a 150328
there no supercession  notes

150328 was also used on single rail     late gt6   so without the service notes on why and when you
its a buggers muddle ,  there were  gear tooth profile changes but not aware of any cone angle or chamfer angles  that ive ever come across on baulk rings

Later 3 rail and single rail have slightly bigger baulk rings IIRC.  Difficult to tell which you have without comparison.

Quality of new...... meh......  Depending on how bad yours are you can sometimes get away with swapping them around. 4th and 1st suffer least, 2nd is worst.  Dirt cheap non-OD donor boxe(s) used to be the way.  Not dirt cheap any more though.
