Has anyone identified a source of replacement springs for the herald wiper arms? The arms on our car are fine, but both springs rusted through. I've shortened them and re-fitted, but that won't last long I think.

Failing an identified supply, anybody got an extended length for a new spring and any idea of spring rate - lbs/inch kg/m, etc.?

on the Vit6 we got thicker 7mm adjustable length arms and  this allowed longer blades from
https://www.vintagecarparts.co.uk/products/830-container-wiper-arm-chrome-spline-fitting

you must get the correct diameter splinedrive but a 7mm bayonet arm gives so much better screen pressure then the weeny 5,2mm  arms and associated blades

worth considering if you want wipers that actually work

worth turning the rack over and repositioning the wheel boxe so all runs on unworn teeth
always check all the rack tube clamps are tight
