Hi

Can this wheel be turned until it just stops at the end of it's range (or will it come apart).

Any help great please.

On mine turning clockwise it comes to the end, the other way has a c clip on the threaded rod near the end, this stops it. If the c clip is missing as mine was it all falls apart, I learnt that the had way

Thanks, that's brill.

Have always set by the timing by the "back off from pinking" by turning the diz, though I guess finer adjustment can be done by the vernier.

Anyone know what the amount of range of the vernier is in degrees at the crank.

Hi Dave,
instead about worrying about numbers. How about setting it at max advance? Then, rotate the dizzy to not pink going up a hill under hard acceleration at low revs on your choice of fuel, if in the future you suffer pinking, you can just dial it out? As the only way is retard.
