Hi out there... I have only started posting as I only got the car last summer . I took the diff out of the herald at the weekend was looking for a knocking sound, turned out to be a uv joint. Drained the oil while I had it out and put new oil in. Can anyone tell me how much oil the diff takes. I had it sitting level on the ground and it only took about 3/4 of a L. And oil started to come the drain hole. Is this the correct amount? Want to be sure before I put diff back in.

Fill it up, and wen its int car, open fill plug
any excess will come oot.

yer not far off wid the amount in noo

really really need t,bung in a drain plug
easy done, and change oil every year,
oil is cheeper than a diff
