Hi.

I have this part left during restoration from 1970 Vitesse restoration.  Can anyone identify it please?

Steve

Goes under the drain plug on the fuel tank, inside the boot and stops the seal falling to the floor.

Acclaim - fully working and on the road
13/60 Herald - mx5 powered and other such fun things, legal enough...
Mk1 2000 - it's still alive, just sleeping
Expert 815d - the slug

If in doubt, do up until you hear the crack and then go another 1/4 turn to ensure tightness.

Interesting.  I've got one of those knocking about somewhere too - been separated from the car for at least 28 years...... never knew what it was.  My alternate sealing arrangement means it'll stay separate too.

Thanks Ferny.  It will have to wait a while. I thought it was from the boot as it was in a bag labelled. It didn't seem to fit under the tank so I left it out
