Right, After several failed bid on ebay to get a D type OD box i have resorted to this;
It has a D type OD , i know i need a few bit like out put drive, adapter plate and the bit for the inhibitor switch... but it is possible right??

the out put is the same, Ie main shaft

that aint a Triumph box, moer like an MG !!!

well if the business end can be altered,IE adaptor to engine,and right lentgh
input shaft,sort the clutch, then any could work

That box is alott longer than a small T box,
in fact, its longer than the big T box wid od

If, ye got a OD mainshaft frae a T box,then im sure that that will fit into the OD ye got
butt, will need the adaptor plate for the T box, as that,ns too long
early boxes had short adaptors, later Spittys went to longer adaptors,
then ye can build yer own original box,into an OD box

As basicly, its just the mainshaft and adaptor plate thats different
and,rear mounting plate under OD end, which is easily fabricated,or got

but still no as long as that, think it was to try and add moer oil into system, but no so sure.

Actually the box itself doesn't look too long but the O/D tail, O/D adapter and especially the bell housing all look absurdly drawn out.
