Everything is repairable, but I agree, that is bad. Tubs do come up, although they're often saloon ones when someone has swapped a saloon to a flop-top. Karl at KD Triumph did have a tub or two kicking around, not sure if he's still got them though. Might be worth a try if you're struggling.

That doesn't look too bad to me!

Has yours been rippled by the grit blasting?

Cheers

When I bought my Vitesse, my rear tub was pretty much like that eBay one, and the car was on the road with an mot. There were no repair sections for where the boot floor meets the back axle tunnel back then so I had to make them up myself, but they're available now. Apart from that bit on the tonneau panel which might be a bit fiddly, that tub looks to be an easy repair given the repair sections available today.

'68 Mk1 Vitesse convertible boneshaker, and a somewhat more economical '89 998cc A series powered Metro.

To be fair, it looks pretty reasonable. It is very difficult to describe a tub in words, and yes, the pics are not great. But if you are interested, ask specific questions?
In fact, that is probably where sellers go wrong. Poor photos, and a bit suggesting punters ask if they require specific pictures or further information.
And ultimately, you need to see it for yourself. That maybe after the end of auction, and if "not as described" walk away.

I did look at that too....I think by the time I've driven about wasted time and being disappointed it will be just as much effort restoring the original tub
