I'm helping someone bring back to life a Bugatti replica based on a 1600 Vitesse with a Delco distributor. Having bought a new rotor arm because the original was slopping about, I find that the new rotor arm is exactly the same. Has anyone else had this problem? Is it perhaps due to the quality (?) of the rotor arm?

Guess this is  a D200 or D202 delco

the loose fit seems to be on a range of these , new old stock is best but
a clean and a piece of self adhesive foil or  elec tape  will gold in place and remove the rock

Do make sure the sweep contacts the centre brush

think many are over size due to  poor  moulds or the process used.
dizzy caps have the same dont fit problems

As suspected then Pete. Thanks for your input. Will see if we can find a NOS item.
