Hi all,
I have to make the brake pipes from scratch for my Herald / Vitesse Estate. The pipe from the 4 way union in the engine bay  to the rear is splitted. Where is the connector placed? Perhaps roughly a measurement from the front outrigger as a reference.

I don'tthik it actually matters as it was split to aid fitting on the production line I suspect,

About half way, aim for the biggest gap between the clips.

If you have the regular Herald or non-rotoflex Vitesse layout, the front pipe is 46" long, the rear pipe 53". This depends on matching the curves and exact layout to the original, so there is room for variation.
The Vitesse Mk2 layout is different, sorry I don't have those figures, but I would assume the front pipe to be very similar in length.

The union sits betweent he front and centre outriggers. It's biased towards the front so the more complicated routing of the front pipe along the bulkhead is more easily achieved. The largely straight rear pipe can be fed through the outriggers more easily,

just measured. 12 inch from the front outrigger is exactly between the front and centre outrigger.
As I have rotoflex setup, I took the rear measures (where the 3 way union is) from my GT6 as a reference.
