Good news. As u can see in the manual pic the manifold outlet hose goes to the lower of the heater connections and I think this is important as it should help to push any air out of it. Also cos Im tight I used just ordinary hose with no problems instead of splashing out on the official preformed ones

One day its worth checking the heater valve they do get clogged  remove the rivet and rotate the halves to release the internals for  declagging
the under manifold tube is best replaced witha stainless one , and if in there check the threaded adaptor intomthe pump is not blocked.

Have to say fitting a pair of CD150 will give an easy extra 12 bhp needs a mk1 manifold  and air box

The heater valve is dead as it snapped off when taking the heater out.  New one on order and due to arrive tomorrow. The return pipe is already stainless so should be fine.  Once I've got the heater plumbed back in then it's all due a good flushing through as it's looking pretty dirty.

Of all the products available I still find cheap washing soda  the best ,
give it a few cupfulls and double flush after a few good runs ,  dont leave it in for weeks
