Previously Owned since the mid 70's by Bill Sunderland of TSSC fame and up for sale on the 5th of November with only 27K Miles?

I've admired this car for years, White with a red interior is one of my favorite combinations, it's very tempting

...by a long way - double, at least, I would have thought. It must be virtually unique in that low mileage condition!

Seen it and I was a little disappointed.  It isn't mint.  I know that it is 40 odd years old but I've certainly seen and owned better.  I don't think it would get my £9k +.

Sorry.

It's been a few years since I last saw the car in the TSSC Museum and looking at the under bonnet photo's it would seem rust is getting a hold under the master cylinders

The interior looks like it needs a good clean and I can see the original carpets are still fitted?

Presumably with the Mileage being so low the mechanical condition should be good?

I for one will be interested to see what it fetches, now if it was the Dolphin Grey Car from the TSSC Museum I would be at the auction for sure!

It's just a Vitesse with a cut-up door cards, a bit of rust and (with the price in mind) a tatty engine bay, to me.

Acclaim - fully working and on the road
13/60 Herald - mx5 powered and other such fun things, legal enough...
Mk1 2000 - it's still alive, just sleeping
Expert 815d - the slug

If in doubt, do up until you hear the crack and then go another 1/4 turn to ensure tightness.

You'd have to fight me for that one Gary.  That car is as good as it gets Vitesse-wise.....

Rumour has it that the TSSC were talking of selling that car and were perhaps hoping for around £25000.  Well worth the money and some I'd say but it is unusably good.

Now THAT is how you restore a car properly. I always aspire to Hugh's standard of work and attention to detail,

Cheers,
Bill.
