I have at last got around to replacing the front tyres on my Vitesse. Had the tracking checked and it was at 7.5 rather than 1.5 toe in.  Normal wear and tear occording to the tyre bay chaps.

How did it get like that?

Wow! Handling aside, I'd expect to measure tyre wear in hundreds of miles with such a severe setting!

*Man: Well, no ... It's not so much of a jet, it's more your, er, Triumph Herald engine with wings.

The wear was getting bad.  The outside shoulders had no tread, the middle was still OK for an MOT.  The tyres must have been pretty good because they had lasted for at least 50,000 miles.

I guess I had got used to the handling.  It did feel different when I got in back from the tyre bay!
